It might have taken eight years, but the wait was WELL worth it. Gillian Welch's The Harrow and the Harvest drops today, and is one of the most anticipated releases of 2011. We'll have our review of the album for you to read later on this week, but know for now that if you're a fan of roots music/Americana then this is about as good as it gets. Welch is touring for this album (YES!!) and we'll be catching her when we cover the Newport Folk Festival at the end of July (Double YES!).
